About me: I’ve always had a love for fashion and I love going to the races. My first winning fashions on the field look was at the Cooma Cup in 2004 and I’ve been entering fashions on the field comps on and off over the years. I’ve had success winning in Sydney and Brisbane but my dream has always been to do well in Melbourne, the pinnacle of Fashions on the Field! I’ve worked in the corporate world, in fashion, and now I’m working in marketing for a hotel group where I can continue to be creative in a different way. My love of fashion has never wavered. About the look: I am a big believer in style and buying pieces that suit my colouring and my shape but also has a bit of a wow factor and this dress is exactly that. This dress is very me. I absolutely love the shoulder detail in the dress and the colour is spectacular. I worked with Kathryn Lee Millinery to create the perfect hat to go with the dress. We tried some larger styles but it was competing with the shoulders and was too much so we opted for a smaller style in a neutral colour and adding some green to tie in with the dress. I am also a huge lover of bows so Kathryn added a bow detail on the side of the hat. I styled the look with gold shoes, bag and earrings which looked great with the green. I have refined my style over the years and I have created hundreds of racewear looks but this is my favourite look to date 💚
