This is a look I call 'Suncream'. Being from the UK, it sort of expresses the way I see Australian FOTF: fashion, feminine, flexible, friendly, free, fresh, fun (in the sun). If you had to compare the ensemble to food, it would have to be cheesecake, as it's mostly biscuity cream. The oversized straw hat (Heather McDowall, Australia) brings a feeling of naturalness and practical shade, while the light gold floaty sunray pleated skirt (Scotch & Soda, Netherlands), with its altered, fitted waist, conveys a classy, carefree and cool vibe. The cream asymmetric scuba shoulder ruffle top (Luis Civit, Spain) carries a bit of a flamenco flourish, while the white soft leather bag (Liu Jo, Italy), faux pearl and gold ring (Asos, UK), with their patternation, almost make you think of layers of icing or meringue. Lastly, the ringed transparent and gold earrings (Kenneth Jay Lane, USA) give the Aussie sun something to glint from. So this is an outfit that may look plain, but if you take time to absorb the details, there are plenty of global flavours to savour. :)
