Bio Alexandra Pennell (she/they) Alexandra Jayne is an emerging designer half way through their major fashion studies. With an interest in the new technologies shaping the fashion industry Alex uses their passion for ethical and sustainable design to create seaweed based bio-plastic, completely edible and compostable. Merging this with a love of conceptual story telling Alex brings you a collection comically entitled “Oh, you just need to moisturise.” Which they say is best described as “couture streetwear”, this collection tells you the very personal story of suffering through a chronic skin condition. “I live in constant irritation, dealing with the frustration of fluctuations not only physically but mentally. But I love my life and I find beauty in this body. Through design I want to connect to something bigger than myself, wether that be the healing of our planet or giving power to those who are also living in their own irritation.”
