My outfit is inspired by the synergy of 1960s fashion and the elegance of lace. In 1960s, men enjoyed the freedom to be flamboyant: patterned suits, bell-bottom trousers and platform shoes. I created this lace black tie and lower front slits of my pants as my homage to lace –a status symbol in 16th century and a synonym for seduction in 1980s. This unpretentious fabric re-emerged in 21st century, proving its timeless influence in fashion.
