I have taken queues from the trend of designers looking to the past for their latest collections. Taking inspiration from the likes of Dior vintage millinery, I have designed a classic look, while incorporating details which bring it into the now. The mesh pattern of the dress and mesh in the hat draws from the current trend of mesh and sheer fabrics, but the way I have used it makes it classic and race day appropriate. This was mainly inspired by the trellises, wrought iron and roses featured heavily at Flemington.
