The incredible ladies at Nagula Jarndu (Saltwater Woman) in Broome, pressed a unique hand carved design onto 5.5 metres of silk for my dress. I feel incredibly honoured to wear their design. I wanted to ensure the outfit was a celebration of spring and had multiple layers of textures that worked together and told a story. The print tells the story of the First Nations people who made it, the bag - salmon leather - the sea, the shoes - woven raffia - vegetation, and millinery - feathers - the sky."
