Best Dressed Competition 2022
Australia, NT
Supporting local indigenous art is important to me. Showcasing NT talent in FOTF competitions, which gain media coverage, allows business growth and development in remote communities. I assemble fabrics by visiting local and remote centers to source fabrics and design each outfit specifically around the art. I have undertaken Millinery courses to compliment my sewing skills. My Nan first started teaching me how to sew on an old machine, picked up from a garage sale, 35 years ago. I won the Darwin Cup FOTF, over 40's, wearing this outfit.
